The Andean swallow (Haplochelidon andecola) is a species of bird in the Hirundinidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Haplochelidon.[2] Found in the South American countries of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru, its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland.[1]
