Amy Speace is an American singer-songwriter from Baltimore, Maryland, United States, who is notable for her critically acclaimed music.[1][2] National Public Radio described her voice as "velvety and achy" and compared her to Lucinda Williams.[2] She was based in Jersey City, New Jersey but moved to Nashville, Tennessee.[3][4] A former Shakespearean actress,[2] her music has received positive critical attention.[5][6] Speace's song, Weight Of The World, was covered by singer Judy Collins on her 2010 album Paradise.[7]
