In 2009, having left their original label Tsubi/Ksubi, Amy Meredith signed a deal with Sony Music Australia,[5] and released their debut single Pornstar, which peaked at No. 65 on the ARIA Singles Chart.[6] In March 2010 Amy Meredith released their second single, Lying,[7] which peaked at No. 10,[8] making it their only top 10 single. Their debut album, Restless was released on 2 July 2010 and reached No. 8 on the ARIA Albums Chart.[9] In 2010, Lying was used as the station ident for the TV series Lie To Me, and Young At Heart was used for Home and Away.
In October 2011, Amy Meredith travelled to Afghanistan, where they played several shows for the Australian troops stationed there.[10]
In 2011, Amy Meredith supported popular American band Good Charlotte for their sold out Jack Daniel's series of concerts, playing in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.[11] Shortly afterwards the band came to the end of their deal with Sony and began work with Vector Management.[12]
In 2013 Amy Meredith release their second album, Maps, following a crowd funding effort to raise the money to record it,[13] however the album was not a success and failed to produce any charted singles. Since its release the band have been inactive, and their Facebook page still refers to Maps as "Coming soon".
