The Amsterdam Gate (Dutch: Amsterdamse Poort, Kastelpoort and Pinangpoort) is a former gate located in Jalan Cengkeh, Jakarta, Indonesia. It was part of the Castle of Batavia built between 1619-1627. It survived the dismantling of the castle between 1809 to 1890, however it was completely demolished in the 1950s.[1] In 2007 it was proposed to rebuild a replica as part of heritage conservation measures of the Kota, Jakarta.[2]
