Āmitis Shahbanū (Persian: آمیتیس شهبانو) was the wife of Cyrus the Great and therefore queen of the Persian Achaemenid Empire, She was the daughter of Astiak, Shāh of Mād, King of Media.
The name Amitis means "wise friend".
