Amietophrynus reesi, the Merara toad, is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family. It is endemic to Tanzania, and is known from the Kihansi–Ulanga River floodplain from elevations of 200–500 m. Its natural habitats are moist savanna, subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, swamps, intermittent freshwater lakes, and intermittent freshwater marshes. It is threatened by habitat loss.
