American Film Institute Awards 2010

The American Film Institute (AFI) Awards 2010 honored the best ten movies and ten television programs of the year. This is one of the few years where almost all of the films are Academy Award for Best Picture nominees (with the exception of The Town). This is also due to the fact that the year before the Academy changed its rules from only allowing five nominees for Best Picture, to ten. The Best Picture winner, The King's Speech was not eligible because it was British financed.
