Amaro (Friulian: Damâr, Slovene: Grenak ) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 822 and an area of 33.2 square kilometres (12.8 sq mi).[1]
