Major General Amal Karunasekara RSP, USP, psc is the Military Secretary Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka Light Infantry.
Major General Amal is a product of Nalanda College Colombo. He was a Senior Cadet at the school Cadet platoon.
He has the honour of being the Commander of first-ever Sri Lankan contingent of troops for the United Nations Peace Keeping Operations that was sent to Haiti in 2004.
