Amadesa
Amadesa is a privately owned web optimization company based in Evanston, IL, with an office in Ramat-Gan, Israel. Their SaaS products help websites test and optimize their content in an effort to raise conversion rates. Amadesa works with customers in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Israel.
History
The company was founded in 2005. In 2008, Amadesa received Series A funding from Carmel Ventures.[1] At first, Amadesa provided a full service platform focusing on optimizing the checkout process for customers. As of 2008, they started offering a SaaS platform that offers optimization tools that can be used anywhere on a user’s website. In 2010, Amadesa was named a finalist for the Red Herring 100 North American Award.[2]
On 16 May 2012, the Company was acquired by LivePerson, a New York based company that specializes in web marketing technologies.[3]
Products
A/B testing: Runs simple split tests or A/B/…n options
Multivariate testing: Runs tests with multiple variations.[4]
Behavioral Targeting: Serves content to website users based on their onsite behavior.
Segmentation: Enables companies to choose which traffic sees which content on their site. Also known as content targeting
Email Content Optimization Module: A/B testing for hero images in emails.
Customers
Amadesa’s optimization tools have been used by Petco, General Mills, Progressive, NutriSystem, AOL, 2CO, Shoebuy.com, BettyCrocker, Diapers.com, Pfizer, STOPzilla and others[5][6]
Criticisms
Amadesa is a provider of personalization software for websites, which has a list of pros and cons. Customers may opt out of Amadesa’s platform through their privacy page.[7]
