América CV Network is a Spanish television network in the United States, created as a result of the joint venture agreement between Sherjan Broadcasting and Caribevision Network Spanish-language television networks. CV Network launched in 2007 with owned and operated stations in New York City, Chicago, Miami, and San Juan until November 2009. CV Network and its related owned and operated stations as well as America TeVe's Channel 41, were brought under the common ownership and management of a new entity called America CV Network and its sister company America CV Station Group. The America CV name is a play on America TeVe and CV Network. Ownership of America CV Network is shared on a 50/50 basis between America Teve, which was the prior owner of WJAN-CD and the CV Network group, which consists of Barba TV Group, and Pegaso Television, which itself is a subsidiary of Mediaset a Spanish broadcasting firm Mediaset España Comunicación. Both broadcasting companies added their additional programming content to the network's existing programming. On July 31, 2012, the four stations contributed by CV to the joint venture took affiliation with MundoFox, which soft-launched the day after, with the official launch coming August 13. The fifth station, Miami's Channel 41, remained independent. In January 2013, WFUN (also Miami), left the Mundo Fox affiliation, and launched Teveo, a news channel directed at the Spanish-speaking community in Miami.
Currently, the joint venture partners, that is the CV Group and America Teve are in litigation, with leading media lawyer Marcell Felipe and his team representing the CV Group. The case is pending in Miami Dade County.
