Alyssa Alano is a Filipina - Australian film and TV actress. She was a former member of the popular Viva Hotbabes franchise. Though she grew up in Tarlac, Alano was actually born Geramie Daud in Zamboanga City on 11 August 1987, to a Filipina mother and an Australian father of Spanish descent[1][2] (who later abandoned her and her mother).[3]

Notable appearances
"Keys Me"
During an appearance on GMA's late night variety show Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman in June 2006, Alyssa performed a cover of the song "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None the Richer. The performance would become a viral video in the country after a user uploaded a mondegreened version of the performance to YouTube, with karaoke subtitles of her accented lyrics, which among other things, rendered the title of the song as "Keys Me."
Alysaa did not know about the video until it was shown to her during an interview on 24 Oras' Chika Minute segment. After discovering the video, she reacted positively, and credited the video for her growing popularity.[4]
Lupin
In 2007, Alano got a break on television, portraying the role of Mary in an adaptation of the action series Lupin.
Kamandag
Within the same year, she accepted the role of a monkey-woman in the hit fantasy series titled Kamandag alongside Benjie Parras who was the King of the Monkey-People.
Una Kang Naging Akin
In 2008, Alano plays the role of Maan in the afternoon drama Una Kang Naging Akin top-billed by Angelika dela Cruz and Maxene Magalona. She considers this project to be her biggest break in television, even though she was not the main character in the series.
Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang
In 2009, she joins the cast of the adaptation of Carlo J. Caparas's thriller drama Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang with main stars Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes. Alyssa plays Yaya Citas, one of Homer's (Dingdong Dantes) Maid. After Ang Bababeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang Allysa became a guest cast of the 2009 remake Rosalinda aired on Primetime Block.
Darna
In 2009, Alyssa is chosen to play Marissa (the Flora Venom) one of Darna's enemies. As the story continues she gets her power with Lucefera (Ang Babaeng Tuod) who is portrayed by Francine Prieto. Flora Venom has an ability to kill people by shooting venom out of her mouth.
Full House
Alyssa's character is killed off on Darna. She is currently doing a new project on the GMA Network, the remake of the Korean hit comedy romance called Full House starring Heart Evangelista and Isabel Oli.
Personal life
In 2009, she was surprised by her half-sister in Spanish Australian father's side by telephone and realized that her father already died. In February 2010, she and her paternal half-sister met face-to-face. In March, Alyssa flew to Australia to meet her paternal relatives.[2] She speaks Tagalog, Spanish, and limited English.
Accident
Alyssa Alano was badly injured after she figured in an accident in Marikina City at around 4 a.m. on Sunday. Initial investigations said Alano was speeding along the westbound lane of Marcos Highway near SM City Marikina when her sport utility vehicle (Ford Everest) hit the concrete barrier of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority at the center island. The metal part attached to the concrete barrier pierced through Alano’s abdomen. The actress was immediately rushed to the hospital. Aside from Alano, another car got involved in the accident and its four passengers were also hurt.
