Alshermond Glendale ("Al") Singleton (born August 7, 1975) is a former American college and professional football player who was a linebacker for ten seasons in the National Football League during the 1990s and early 2000s. Glendale played college football at Temple University. He was drafted in the fourth round (128 overall) of the 1997 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and played professionally for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys.
Early life
Glendale was born in Newark, New Jersey and attended Irvington High School.[1] He played college football at Temple University.
Professional career
Glendale was drafted in the fourth round of the 1997 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and played for them for six seasons.[2] In 2003, he joined the Dallas Cowboys as the starting strongside outside linebacker until Greg Ellis was converted from defensive end. He then played as a reserve linebacker and on special teams.
Life after the NFL
For the last three years he has owned and operated the Martinizing Dry Cleaners in Morris Plains, New Jersey.[3]
