Alon Stein (Hebrew: אלון שטיין; born January 4, 1978) is a retired German-Israeli basketball player.[1] He is now an assistant coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Biography
Stein was born in Hadera, Israel.[1] In high school, when he was 14 years old he scored 60 points at an eighth-grade State Youth Cup final in Ussishkin in 1992.[2] He played for the Israeli U22 National Team in 1996–98, alongside Oded Kattash.[1][2]
His first professional team was Hapoel Galil Elyon joining when he was 17 years old in 1995. In 2011, Stein signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv.[3]
