Aloha High School is a suburban public high school in Aloha, Oregon. It offers 23 Advanced Placement courses.[3]
Demographics
As of 2014 the school is 1% American Indian/Alaskan Native, 7% Asian, 4% Black, 1% Hawaiian Native/Pacific Islander, 29% Hispanic, 51% White, and 7% Multiracial.[2] Approximately 58% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch.[4][2]
Academics
In 2009 Ken Yarnell took over duties as the principal.[1] Yarnell has blogged about his educational experiences.[1][5]
Aloha High was ranked as one of Newsweek's top 1500 high schools in the U.S. in 2008, 2009, and 2010, where it was ranked the third best high school in the state. Also ranked 5th in 2011, and 2012[6]
Aloha currently offers 23 Advanced Placement courses.[7]
