Aloísio dos Santos Gonçalves or simply Aloísio (born June 10, 1988, in Araranguá) is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Shandong Luneng as a striker.[1]
Club career
Signed first pro contract on June 19, 2006, which tied him to Grêmio until 2011. The club have also attached a £7.25 million buy-out clause. Aloísio made full debut in a 2–0 win for Grêmio against São Caetano on October 14, 2006.
In August 2007, he moved to Swiss second division side FC Chiasso on loan for two seasons.
On May 18, 2011, he signed with Brazilian Série A club Figueirense on the back of excellent performance at his former team Chapecoense in the Campeonato Catarinense. He scored 14 goals in 19 matches to lead Chapecoense in Champions Trophy.
On December 1, 2012, Aloisio confirmed that signed a pre-contract with São Paulo FC. But in this document there is a break clause that permits Aloísio to sign with any European club if he receives any better propose.[2] On December 7, after expectations, the president of São Paulo FC, Juvenal Juvêncio, confirmed Aloísio for 2013 season.[3]
On July 10, 2013, Aloisio came in history of São Paulo FC after scoring the 1000th goal of club in the Brazilian League playing at them home, Morumbi Stadium, in the lose by 1–2 against Bahia. Speaking about the bad moment of Tricolor, Aloisio said that only changing of coaches doesn't solve the problems (referring about the Ney Franco's dismission and the Paulo Autuori's signing); thus, he also blamed the players for them, saying that one of them must give the "first step".[4] In next, trying to help São Paulo to come out of crisis, Aloisio scored one goal with his left hand, against Portuguesa de Desportos, a loss for 2-1 by club of Morumbi Stadium. According the forward, after the game, "with the will I was to score the goal, I putted my hand at the ball."[5] One week later, now in the draw for 0-0 against CR Flamengo, Aloísio repeated this move: after a ball crossed on the area, the number 19 scored a new goal with his hand. This time, however, instead of saying about his will to score, Aloísio said: "Lately, the ball has taken in my hand. It is twice."[6] On October 27, 2013, Aloísio scored his first hat-trick playing for São Paulo FC. In the victory against SC Internacional for 3-2, a game valid by Brazilian League, Boi Bandido was fundamental for Tricolor earning more three points, and keeping distance from relegation zone.[7]
Even after a hard 2013, in which São Paulo FC only escaped from relegation and did not win titles, Aloísio has became one of main idol of club, sharing the artillery of club in 2013 with the long-time idol Luís Fabiano (both of them scored 22 goals). This way, despite of several proposes from international clubs, Boi Bandido said that he will not accept any ones. According him: "If I need to go away, I'll go very happy. But, for I come out from São Paulo FC, it won't happen in charge of any propose. I passed through several difficulties in Swiss. Now, I am playing for a big club and I hope continuing here for a long time."[8]
Aloísio joined Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng in January 2014.
Style of play
Aloísio is known for his guts on the game. He is not only a goal scorer, but also is a very strong physical player. When he played for Figueirense, Aloisio gained from fans the nickname of Boi Bandido (In English, Bandit Bull as a reference to the most feard rodeo bull in Brazil), because of his will to win, of his dedication. Aloisio also revealed that hard games are his preferred in comparison to other ones.[9] His guts can be seen when he suffered a penalty in the victory for 2-0 against Atlético Mineiro, valid by 2013 Copa Libertadores: in a fundamental game for São Paulo FC advancing in competition, Aloisio celebrated the suffering of foul as a goal, from what he laughed about his reaction watching this one day after.[10] On September 3, 2013, after scoring the goal that gave the victory for São Paulo against Náutico by 1-0, Aloísio spoke about the moment of team. According his words:
When we cannot win on technical, ability, we must win on guts. We must have humility to know when we must mark and when we must play
On October 9, 2013, during the winning of São Paulo FC over Cruzeiro for 2-0, by Brazilian League, Aloísio proved his gut one more time, and celebrated the first goal of Tricolor jumping on the coach Muricy Ramalho and shaking him.[12]
