All The Hits is a compilation album by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler; a 3 CD pack that was released on 14 June, 2013 by the Italian branch of Sony Music Entertainment.[1] The compilation contains tracks from six of Tyler's previous studio albums: Faster Than the Speed of Night (1983), Secret Dreams and Forbidden Fire (1986), Hide Your Heart (1988), Bitterblue (1991), Angel Heart (1992) and Silhouette In Red (1993). Also included is a track that Tyler recorded for the 1984 re-make of the science fiction film Metropolis, called "Here She Comes".
The photo used in the artwork was taken by Paul Cox for her 2001 compilation Greatest Hits.[2]
Background
The album became available on the German Amazon store in May 2013, shortly after the release of her latest studio album Rocks and Honey.[3] It is the first compilation album Tyler has released since Best Of 3 CD in 2011, and is the fifth 3CD compilation released in her career.
Content
All The Hits contains 36 tracks spanning a decade of Tyler's career, covering her global success with rock music in the 1980s and European success with soft-rock in the 1990s. Disc one consists mainly of tracks produced by Dieter Bohlen, her producer from 1991 to 1993, with the addition of internationally successful and Grammy nominated singles "Here She Comes" and "Total Eclipse of the Heart", released in the 80s. Discs two and three consist entirely of her 1980s recordings, including a duet with rock singer Frankie Miller and Tyler's cover of Janis Joplin's "Turtle Blues".
