"All My Love Is for You" is a Japanese song by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. It was released on September 26, 2012 from their second Japanese album Girls & Peace. The music video for "All My Love Is for You" was released on September 3, 2012.

Background

On August 10, 2012, it was announced the group was to release their next Japanese single after the success of their previous single "Paparazzi", in the following month on September 26, 2012. The single was announced with no confirmation of title tracks, however fans were allowed to pre-order the regular, and limited editions of the single.[1] "All My Love Is for You" was released via music video on September 4, 2012 on SM Entertainment's official YouTube site, SMTOWN.[2]

Music Video

The music video of the "All My Love Is for You" was released on September 3, 2012, and was filmed around the same time as the group's digital single "Time Machine", which was released in February, 2012.

The video lasts 4 minutes and 6 seconds and begins with an empty apartment and the group walking slowly into it. Member Yoona is the first seen, followed by Tiffany who is sitting on a table, Taeyeon is leaning against the apartment's wall, Sooyoung is sitting in a chair, Jessica and Sunny are talking, Hyoyeon is smiling at Tiffany, and Seohyun with Yuri are seen together by the window. Jessica and Sunny are then seen sitting down tying their shoes ready to dance, matched by rocker-like loose fitting dance clothes. The group begins dance practice in the background while Taeyeon is sitting down drawing the group. When the chorus begins, the group is seen standing and sitting atop a set of scaffolding singing towards the camera. The picture Taeyeon was drawing fades into a dream setting where the group is seen sitting down in a pink room with colorful outfits. The final chorus begins with the entire group up against a mirror singing to the camera, this switches between Taeyeon finishing her drawing and the group practicing the choreography to their song, "The Boys". The video ends with the group walking out of the apartment the way they came.

Commercial performance

"All My Love Is for You" peaked at number 21 on the Japan Hot 100.[3]

Live performances

The group was set to perform the single for the first time on September 24, 2012, on Fuji TV’s Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ, which marked their sixth appearance on the show. The group donned white outfits to perform "All My Love Is for You".[4] The group also participated in a "Special Program" in anticipation of the single's release, with three Japanese music websites airing performances of the single across three consecutive nights; September 25, 26 and 27.[5] Promotion for the single continued on Nippon Television’s “Music Lovers", where the group recorded a performance on September 25 for the show that was broadcast on October 8, 2012. The group performed "Oh!", "All My Love Is for You" and "Mr. Taxi".[6]
