Aliw Broadcasting Corporation is one of the Philippines' largest radio networks founded in 1991 with Home Radio and DWIZ as their flagship radio stations. The network is part of the ALC Group of Companies which also manages pre-need plans, banking, hotel operations, retail mall operations, property development, and publishing operations.
Recent developments
On January 3, 2014, Aliw Broadcasting Corporation recently signed a 3-year memorandum of agreement with Radio Philippines Network (now carrying 9TV and Radyo Ronda) for the expanded coverage of the radio networks nationwide. Selected DWIZ programs simulcasted on 13 RPN Radyo Ronda network stations last January 15, 2014.[1][2]
In an August 20 article by InterAksyon.com, Aliw Broadcasting Corporation chair Antonio Cabangon-Chua acquired 9Media Corporation and its 34% majority share of the former state-owned Radio Philippines Network from Solar Entertainment Corporation chief Wilson Tieng [3]
