Alison Evans
Alison Evans is a British economist.
After gaining a BA from Sussex University and an MPhil from Cambridge University in economics and development economics respectively, she was awarded a PhD from the University of Sussex, where she then became a lecturer on economics. In 1994 she joined the World Bank,[1] and in 2006 joined the Overseas Development Institute, becoming their Director in 2009.[2] She left in 2013.[2] Evans will be the new Chairman of the Independent Commission for Aid Impact.[3]
Evans is a Trustee of BBC Media Action,[4] and served as a member of the World Bank's Advisory Council on Gender.[2]
