American singer Alicia Keys has released five studio albums, two live albums, and thirty singles (including ten guest appearances). All of Keys' solo work was released by J Records (a now defunct record label which was operated by Sony Music Entertainment) until the label's dissolution in 2011. Keys' subsequent work has been released by RCA Records.

Keys released her debut album Songs in A Minor in 2001.[1] The album was a commercial success, selling over 12 million copies worldwide,[2] making her the best-selling new artist and best-selling R&B artist of 2001.[3] The album earned Keys five Grammy Awards in 2002, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for "Fallin'".[4]

Her second studio album, The Diary of Alicia Keys, was released in 2003, selling eight million copies worldwide.[5] The album garnered her an additional four Grammy Awards in 2005.[6] Later that year, she released her first live album, Unplugged, which debuted at number one in the United States.[7] She became the first female to have an MTV Unplugged album to debut at number one and the highest since Nirvana in 1994.[3]

Her third studio album, As I Am, was released in 2007, and sold five million copies worldwide.[8]

Keys' fourth and fifth studio albums, The Element of Freedom and Girl on Fire were released in 2009 and 2012, respectively. Both albums sold well, but not as well as her previous efforts. She released another live album, VH1 Storytellers, in 2013.

Throughout her career, Keys has sold over 18.4 million albums in the US, and over 30 million albums worldwide.[9][10][11]
