Marpet earned three consecutive first team All-Liberty League awards and shared the Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year Award in 2014,[2] the first offensive lineman to win that award. He played his entire senior season without allowing a sack and was named to the 2014 AFCA All-American team,[3] the 2014 D3football.com All-America Team,[4] and the AP Little All-America second team.[5] Marpet and the Statesmen made four consecutive NCAA Division III Football Championship appearances, advancing to the quarterfinal rounds in 2012 and 2014. During his career, Hobart posted a record of 41-5, losing just one regular season game.

Marpet attended the 2015 Senior Bowl and Scouting Combine.[6][7] At the combine he ran the fastest 40-yard dash among offensive lineman with 4.98.[8][9]
