Alexander "Ali" Marpet (born April 17, 1993) is an American football offensive lineman. He played college football at Division III Hobart.
College career
Marpet attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges from 2011 to 2014.[1] A four-year member of the Hobart football team, he was a three-year starter at left tackle, helping the Statesmen win four consecutive Liberty League Championships. Marpet earned three consecutive first team All-Liberty League awards and shared the Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year Award in 2014,[2] the first offensive lineman to win that award. He played his entire senior season without allowing a sack and was named to the 2014 AFCA All-American team,[3] the 2014 D3football.com All-America Team,[4] and the AP Little All-America second team.[5] Marpet and the Statesmen made four consecutive NCAA Division III Football Championship appearances, advancing to the quarterfinal rounds in 2012 and 2014. During his career, Hobart posted a record of 41-5, losing just one regular season game.
Professional career
Marpet attended the 2015 Senior Bowl and Scouting Combine.[6][7] At the combine he ran the fastest 40-yard dash among offensive lineman with 4.98.[8][9]
