Ali Demi (neighborhood)

The Ali Demi neighborhood (Albanian: Lagja e Ali Demit) is a neighborhood located in Tirana, Albania.^[1] It is named after Ali Demi, a World War II hero. The street with the same name is its main artery. The adjacent Mihal Grameno neighborhood is sometimes referred as part of the broader Ali Demi neighborhood.
The neighborhood was one of the poorest of Tirana during the communist regime, as it is still today. This neighborhood is populated by chams .
