Ali Aliev (Russian: Али Зурканаевич Алиев; born November 29, 1937 – January 7, 1995) is an Avar Dagestani-born Soviet Union freestyle wrestler. He is five time World champion. First wrestler from Dagestan who won World Freestyle Wrestling Championships. Since his death the Russian wrestling federation has hosted the annual Ali Aliev memorial International wrestling meet at the Ali Aliev Wrestling Training Center in Kaspiysk, Dagestan.[1]
