Alfred Wallace MacLeod (born March 10, 1956) is a Canadian politician. He currently represents the electoral district of Sydney River-Mira-Louisbourg in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly. He is a member of the Progressive Conservatives.

From 1976 to 1995, he worked a variety of positions with the Cape Breton Development Corporation.

First elected in an October 1995 by-election,[1] MacLeod was defeated when he ran for re-election in the 1998 election.[2]

In the 2000 federal election, MacLeod was the Progressive Conservative candidate in the electoral district of Bras d'Or-Cape Breton. He lost to Liberal Rodger Cuzner, finishing second, ahead of NDP incumbent Michelle Dockrill.[3][4]

MacLeod served as Speaker of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 2007 to 2009.

Family

Married to the former Shirley MacDonald; they have three children.
