Alexandria Sporting Club was built in 1890 and is one of the oldest clubs in Egypt. In 1952, it was taken over by the Egyptian government and converted to a national club. 97% of the club area is occupied by a golf course. It also has three swimming pools, tennis courts, equestrian area, basketball courts, football field, squash courts and many other facilities.
Honors
The club's basketball team is a two-time Egyptian Basketball Premier League champion, having recently won the 2014–15 season title.[1]
