Alexander Edgar Lascelles, Viscount Lascelles (born 13 May 1980), is the third child and second son of David Lascelles, 8th Earl of Harewood[1] and his first wife Margaret, Viscountess Lascelles. He is a direct descendent of King George V and is 54th in line to the British throne.

His elder siblings, Emily Lascelles (born 1975) and Benjamin Lascelles (born 1978), were legitimated by subsequent marriage and they share the same mother. Although legitimation is recognized in the United Kingdom, peerage regulations exclude them from having a claim to the British throne or the Harewood titles. He also has one younger brother, Edward Lascelles (born 1982).

Because his older brother does not meet peerage regulations, Lord Lascelles is the heir apparent to the earldom.

In 2008, Lascelles with his girlfriend, Laleh Yaganegy, had a son, Leo Cyrus Anthony Lascelles. As his parents were not married at the time of his birth, Leo is not in line behind his father for the Earldom of Harewood nor the British throne.

As of 2014, Lord Lascelles was employed as a chef at an arts venue in London.[2]
