Alexander I of Imereti
Alexander I (Georgian: ალექსანდრე I) (fl. 14th century) was King of Imereti. He took advantage of military defeats suffered by King Bagrat V of Georgia to proclaim Imereti to be an independent kingdom in 1387.
Alexander was son of King Bagrat I of Imereti.
Alexander was married to Princess Ana Orbeliani with whom had two children:
- Demetrius of Imereti, duke of Imereti
- Tamar, who married King Alexander I of Georgia.
