Xander: The Artist
In September 2014, Alexander independently released his newest single "Made For You" on iTunes under his own Hashtag Records. The song has been described by Sharmila Tredger of The Examiner as having "..nurtured accents of The Lumineers and Phillip Phillips" and "possesses all the ingredients of a number 1 hit".[1]
In October 2014, Xander hit the road with rock icon Melissa Etheridge for her This Is M.E. national tour to promote his single "Made For You".[2] The single received positive reaction from Triple A radio and has gained heavy rotation on SiriusXM's Adult Top 40 station "The Pulse".[3] Alexander Cardinale has made special appearances to promote the single including the upcoming ABC Music Lounge show in Burbank California on May 15, 2015.[4]
"Made For You" is the first single off of Xander's upcoming 2015 EP titled "Digital Youth". The music was a collaboration with long time friend and producer Morgan Taylor Reid (Plugin Stereo, Grace Mitchell, Max's "Gibberish", and Jo Jo).[5]
In December 2014, Billboard Magazine online premiered the official music video for "Made For You"'.[6]
Alexander signed with indie publisher Spirit Music Group to promote his new music in film, TV, and advertising in 2014. "Made For You" was placed in the closing scene of NBC's Mysteries of Laura S1 E14 on February 11, 2015. In June of 2015, a well known travel brand will prominently feature "Made For You" as the theme song in their new 2015 TV and web campaign.
Past Music/TV Career
Alexander toured with Pentatonix in Fall of 2012. Cardinale's song "Sick Of Dreaming" was the featured music montage in episodes of One Tree Hill on The CW [7] and American Broadcasting Company's Rookie Blue.[8] Other TV placements include episodes of Ghost Whisperer (CBS), Castle (American Broadcasting Company), Friends with Benefits (NBC) and 90210 (The CW). His first starring role was "Hank" in Chad Peter's dark comedy Apocalypse, CA.[9]
