Alexander Michael McQuade (born 7 November 1992) is an English footballer, currently playing for Farsley AFC.
Career
Bolton Wanderers and Shrewsbury Town
McQuade began his career with Bolton Wanderers, having progress through the academy system and signed his first professional contract on a one-year deal.[2] However, McQuade was released by the club upon his contract coming to an end.[3]
Shortly being released by Bolton, McQuade immediately joined Shrewsbury Town in April 2013.[4][5] He made his professional debut in a 0–0 draw against Milton Keynes Dons on 3 August 2013,[6] but was released at the end of his contract in May 2014 having not made another league appearance for Shrewsbury.[7]
Hyde (loan)
On 28 February 2014, McQuade joined Conference side Hyde on a one-month loan.[8] He made his debut for the club a day later, in a 2–1 defeat away at Braintree Town.[9] The loan was later extended until the end of the season.[10]
In July 2014 he joined Wrexham on trial and played in a 1-0 win over Swansea City under 21's in the Dragons' first pre season friendly,[11] however he was not offered a contract.[12]
Guiseley
McQuade joined Guiseley of the Conference North on 6 August 2014 on non-contract terms. He made several appearances at left back. Making his debut on the first day of the season away to Leamington FC.[13]
Return to Hyde
Following his release from Guiseley after making six appearances, McQuade re-joined former loan club Hyde on 11 September 2014.[14]
Farsley AFC
On the 6th February 2015 McQuade joined Farsley.[15]
