Aleksandar Josipović (Serbo-Croatian pronunciation: [aleksǎːndar jɔsǐːpɔv̞it͡ɕ]) is French -Yugoslavian ballroom dance champion, performer, consultant and speaker.

Early life

Born in Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Aleksandar received his first dance training in a ballroom dance. After he began studying ballet, jazz, modern and contemporary dance. He attended the Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics, University of Belgrade.[1]

After Tour in China, in 2002 Josipovic moved to Paris to study with Centre National de la Danse and work in Moulin Rouge.[2]

Career

1990-2015 Successful in the worlds of dance, theater and television Josipović was best known as all-rounder and powerful performer for his performances with the company for dignitaries and special events across the world such as: Paris, Rio de Janeiro-Rio Carnival, Buenos Aires, Eurovision Song Contest, TV shows ( judge at Dancing with the Stars- serbian Ples sa Zvezdama) and as a specialist in the performance he has taught all around the globe. Josipovic officially retired 2015 as one of the most influential French-Yugoslavian performers of the new era.[6][7][8]

Other work

Josipovic was involved in different projects as an artistic director, creative director and consultant in the international entertainment and fashion industry, sport, media and broadcast.[9][10][11] .[12][13][14][15][16]

He is author of 4 books (under the auspices of UNESCO International Dance Council).[17][18][19] [20] [21]

Josipovic has been very active in humanitarian work with the floods which hit Serbia and Bosnia in 2014.[22]

Personal life

He is closely related with prof.dr.Ivo Josipović, 3rd president of Croatia and Anton Josipović olympic champion in boxing, Los Angeles 1984. Josipović hold citizenship of France, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Republic of Serbia.

Since 2012 he is lives in Paris and Amsterdam, working as an expert in international entertainment and image consultancy.
