Alejandro Menéndez García (born 12 July 1966) known as Alejandro Menéndez is a Spanish football manager.

Career

He began training at the School football Dizziness various football teams Real Sporting de Gijón. In 2004, he won the Copa de Campeones de División de Honor Juvenil and a year later was runner-up in this competition and in the King's Cup Youth Soccer. Later, he was signed by Real Madrid C.F. for youth team and won the Champions League again in 2006.

In 2007, he became director of the Celta de Vigo B, of Segunda División B, and in 2008 for the first time trained professional to take over the bench of R.C.Celta de Vigo during the last five days of the 2007/08 season in the Segunda División, replacing Antonio Lopez.

After his time at first team returned to training at subsidiary Celta and in the following season, he was hired to coach Real Madrid Castilla. In early January 2011 was dismissed and replaced by Alberto Toril.

On March 5, 2013, Racing de Santander appointed Menéndez to replace former manager José Aurelio Gay,[1] but he could not prevent the Cantabrian club from being relegated to the Segunda División at the end of the season.

On 28 December 2014, Menéndez became the new manager of China League One side Shaanxi Wuzhou.[2] However, he left the club in January 2015 without coaching a match after Shaanxi Wuzhou failed to register for the 2015 league season due to wage arrears.
