Alejandro Andrés Contreras Daza (born 3 March 1993 in Santiago, Chile) is a Chilean footballer[1] who currently plays as a defender for the Chilean Primera División club Palestino, and is also a member of the Chile national under-20 football team team. He is part of the squad that qualified in the South American U-20 Championship Argentina 2013 to gain a place in the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Contreras began his career playing for the Palestino junior team and was part of the squad that won the 2012 Under 20 national championship[2] He made his debut in the Chilean Primera División on 31 March 2013 scoring against Deportes Antofagasta in an official match for the [[:es:Torneo Clausura 2012 (Chile)| Torneo Clausura de Chile] (Spanish)] national championship.

National team

Contreras was selected to play for the Chile national under-20 football team in the South American Youth Championship on 3 January 2013 by team manager Arturo Salas. Success in this tournament took Contreras and the team to the Turkey 2013 under-20 world championship.
