Alapars (Armenian: Ալափարս, formerly known as Aylaberk, Vartanavan, and Vartanavank) is a village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia. Its center is dominated by the churches of Saint Vartan(Vartanavank) built in 901 and the Holy Mother of God built in 1897. According to a local traditional legend, Vartanavank contains a drop of blood from the Armenian national hero Vartan Mamikonian.
