Alan Dickinson is a professional rugby league footballer of the 1970s and '80s, playing at representative level for Yorkshire, and at club level for Castleford, and Wakefield Trinity, as a Prop, i.e. number 8 or 10, in the era of contested scrums.[1][2]

Alan Dickinson won a cap playing Left-Prop, i.e. number 8 for Yorkshire while at Castleford in the 12-12 draw with Cumberland at Whitehaven's stadium on 15 February 1977.[3]
County Cup Final appearances
Alan Dickinson played Left-Second-row, i.e. number 11, in Castleford's 7-11 defeat by Hull Kingston Rovers in the 1971 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1971–72 season at Belle Vue, Wakefield on Saturday 21 August 1971.
