Alan Cristea Gallery is a commercial art gallery on London's Cork Street, founded in 1995 by Alan Cristea. It is the largest publisher and distributor of prints in Europe.

History

Previously a director of Waddington Galleries, Alan Cristea bought Waddington Graphics in 1995. In 2007, the gallery expanded its premises from its original location at 31 Cork Street, to include 34 Cork Street. Alan Cristea is the Treasurer of the Society of London Art Dealers (SLAD) and his co-director, David Cleaton-Roberts, is the European board representative for the International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA).

Gallery Artists

Alan Cristea Gallery works with a variety of international artists on their print projects including Gillian Ayres, Ian Davenport, Howard Hodgkin, Richard Hamilton, Langlands & Bell, Michael Craig-Martin and Julian Opie. The gallery has recently begun working with Rachel Whiteread, Cornelia Parker and Paul Winstanley. The gallery also represents the paintings of Gillian Ayres, Lisa Milroy, Ian McKeever and the ceramic works of Edmund de Waal.

Master Graphics

Alan Cristea is an acknowledged expert on the prints of Matisse and Picasso. The gallery represents the estate of Naum Gabo and the Josef Albers and Anni Albers Foundation.
