Al-Qamishli District
Al-Qamishli District (Arabic: منطقة القامشلي) is a district (mantiqah) administratively belonging to Al-Hasakah Governorate, Syria. At the 2004 Census it had a population of 423,368.[1] Its administrative centre is the city Al-Qamishli.
Sub-districts
The district of Al-Qamishli is divided into four sub-districts or Nāḥiyas (population according to 2004 official census):
- Al-Qamishli Nahiyah (ناحية القامشلي): population 232,095.[2]
- Tal Hamis Nahiyah (ناحية تل حميس): population 71,699.[3]
- Amuda Nahiyah (ناحية عامودا): population 56,101.[4]
- Al-Qahtaniyah Nahiyah (ناحية القحطانية): population 65,685.[5]
