Al-Hawl (Arabic: الهول) is a village in al-Hasakah Governorate, Syria. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Al-Hawl had a population of 3,409 in the 2004 census. It is the administrative center of a nahiyah ("subdistrict") consisting of 22 localities with a combined population of 14,804 in 2004.[1] The inhabitants of the village are predominantly Arabs.
