Al-Alwa (Arabic: العلوة) is a village on the Khabur River in the Al-Hasakah Governorate of Syria.[2] According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), al-Alwa had a population of 1,431 in the 2004 census.[1] The inhabitants of the village are predominantly Arabs.
