Akhil Akkineni is an Indian film actor and model.[1][2][3][4] He made his Telugu cinema debut as a child artist at the age of five with the 1995 film Sisindri, an Indian adaptation to Hollywood's Baby's Day Out, produced by his father Akkineni Nagarjuna.[5] Years later he appeared in the 2014 classic Manam. He then modeled for Tarun Tahiliani, and few Television commercials for brands like Mountain Dew and Titan.[1][6] He is an accomplished cricketer and participates for Telugu Warriors in Celebrity Cricket League.[7][8][9]

Early life and Career

Akhil was born in San Jose, California, USA to Indian actors Akkineni Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni. Akhil is the grandson of Telugu film matinee idol Akkineni Nageswara Rao, and step brother to Naga Chaitanya.[2][3] He attended University of South Florida, College of Marine Science, where he completed his BBA. He then graduated with Theater arts from the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in West Hollywood.[3]
