Akhuryan (Armenian: Ախուրյան Axuryan), formerly known as Duzkend or Duzkend Mets, is a major village and rural community (municipality) in the Shirak Province of Armenia. The National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (ARMSTAT) reported its population was 9,643 in 2010,[1] down from 9,696 at the 2001 census.[2]
