Air Musique is a Sirius XM Canada channel featuring new and emerging French Canadian music, such as punk, hip-hop, electronic and alternative rock music. It was born on 2005-11-17 as part of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission's (CRTC) regulations for Canadian content on the XM platform, as well as 50% French language content. Due to bandwidth issues, the channel replaced XM and Worldspace's World Zone. The channel broadcasts in the French language. Recently, the channel has change formation to a countdown based format playing the Top 40 songs at 12, 3, 6, and 9 ET and PT.
Air Musique signed on the air on November 17, 2005 on XM channel 100. It was moved to channel 98 in September 2008 to make room for the Sirius channels, and finally to channel 88 on November 12, 2008 as part of the channel consolidation of Sirius XM Radio. Mediabase continues to list the channel as X100-FM.
Following a channel realignment in May 2011, Air Musique has now moved to XM 152. It is rumoured this channel will replace the Astral Media-owned Latitude franco on the Sirius Canada side due to the formation of Sirius XM Canada most recently.
