Ahmed El-Shenawy (Arabic: أحمد الشناوي) (born 14 May 1991) is an Egyptian Footballer who plays for Egyptian Premier League side Zamalek as a goalkeeper.[1] He won the best goalkeeper award in 2011 African Youth Championship along with the bronze medal and the fair play award.[2] More recently he has been called up to represent the Egyptian senior team and he has 12 International Caps as of November 2013. After Al-Masry decided not to participate in season 2012-2013 sympathizing with the relatives of the martyrs of Port Said Stadium disaster, El-Shenawy was loaned to Egyptian giant Zamalek SC for one season.
