Agivey Abbey

Agivey Monastery was an early monastic site in Northern Ireland.[1]

It was purportedly founded 7th century by St Guar of Aghadowey and latter run by the Cistercian monks.

It may have been a grange of Macosquin Augheve.[2] The monastery was dissolved in 1604, and the land was granted to the Ironmongers’ Company of London.[3]
