Against the Season are a hard rock group originally from California but now based in Utah.[1]
Biography
Their parents immigrated to the United States from Tonga and the children were raised in Minneapolis.[2] They are the younger brothers and sisters from a family of 17.[3] They are from the Wolfrgramm family who are of Tongan, Fijian and German extraction.[4] The older eight brothers and sisters[5] of that same family are members of The Jets, who achieved fame and had a string of hits during the 1980s.[6]
They differ in musical style to that of their older brothers and sisters who have a background in R&B and pop music.[7] Theirs is a hard rock sound, quite possibly a result of lead guitarist Tiare having been inspired by rock when she was young.[8]
They are also from the same family as pioneering steel guitarist Bill Wolfgramm.
