Adriaen Anthonisz

Adriaen Anthonisz or Adriaen Anthonisz of Alcmaer (Alkmaar, 1541 – Alkmaar, 1620) was a mathematician, mayor of Alkmaar (1573) and military engineer. He is also regarded as one of the first military engineers to apply the principles of the Dutch fortification system.[1]
