Adrián Carrio (born 1986) is jazz pianist from Oviedo, Spain. Carrio is a son of pianist parents. He started playing the instrument as a self-taught musician, when he was just 6 years old. His parents sent him to learn classical piano with Marina Santamarina, but kept also studying jazz for years as a self-taught musician. In 2005 he created his own band, Rendez-Vous Project, with Javier Rubio (tenor sax), David Casillas (bass) and Jaime Moraga (drums).[1] He has performed on several stages in Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, UK, Japan and USA. He declared that his influences come from musicians like Oscar Peterson, Herbie Hancock, Debussy, Bill Evans, Duke Ellington, Art Tatum, Michel Petrucciani, among others.
