Adam Edward Nicholas Riley (born 23 March 1992) is an English cricketer. Riley is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. He was born in Sidcup, Kent.

Riley made his first-class debut for Kent against Northamptonshire in the 2011 County Championship. During the course of the 2011 season, he made five further first-class appearances, the last of which came against Glamorgan,[1] in a match which was the first day/night County Championship match to be played in England.[2] He took his maiden first-class five wicket haul against Loughborough MCCU, taking figures of 5/76.[3] In his six first-class fixtures to date, he has taken 14 wickets at an average of 39.07.[4]

Riley also made his List A debut in 2011 against Worcestershire in the Clydedale Bank 40. He made five further List A appearances in 2011,[5] taking 5 wickets at an average of 39.40, with best figures of 2/32.[6] He also made his debut in Twenty20 cricket against the touring Indians,[7] claiming the wicket of Rohit Sharma as his maiden in that format.[8]

Opportunities were rare for Riley in 2012, and he only played 5 County Championship games. Although with first-choice spinner James Tredwell featuring more for England extra chances will come his way.

In June 2013, Riley took 7–150 in a County Championship match against Hampshire, an achievement for a player who had taken less than 30 wickets in a first class career that began over 2 years previous.[9]
