Adam Chanler-Berat

Adam Brian Chanler-Berat (born December 31, 1986) is an American stage and film actor.

Personal life

Chanler-Berat was born in West Nyack, Rockland County, New York, the son of Shelley Chanler and Bert Berat.[1] He attended Clarkstown High School South (2001-2005) and Marymount Manhattan College.[2] He has two older brothers, Jordan and Derek.

Theater

Chanler-Berat played "Henry" in the Broadway musical Next to Normal. He was the only cast member to remain continuously with the production from its Off-Broadway debut in April 2008 to its Broadway closing in January 2011.

Chanler-Berat then originated the leading role of Boy in the off-Broadway production of Peter and the Starcatcher at New York Theatre Workshop, alongside Celia Keenan-Bolger and Christian Borle. The limited engagement began in March 2011 and was extended twice.[3]

Chanler-Berat next played Mark Cohen in the off-Broadway reinvention of Rent at New World Stages. The show began performances July 14, 2011, and officially opened August 11, 2011.[4] He departed the production in January 2012 after a Broadway transfer was announced for Peter and the Starcatcher.

Peter and the Starcatcher began previews on Broadway on March 28, 2012 and officially opened on April 15. On September 18, 2012 broadway.com announced that Peter and the Starcatcher will end its run and close on January 20, 2013.[5]

Chanler-Berat also stars in the webseries "It Could be Worse" alongside Wesley Taylor

He also took part in a concert of Bromance: The Dudesical, opposite Jason Tam. He played the role of Dick, who introduces Jason Tam's character into the world of 'bro-doms'.

Film

He appeared in the 2007 film The Life Before Her Eyes.[6] He also appeared in the 2013 Vince Vaughn film Delivery Man as one of 533 children, Viggo.
