Actinocatenispora is a genus in the phylum Actinobacteria (Bacteria).[1]

Etymology

The name Actinocatenispora derives from:
Greek noun aktis, aktinos (ἀκτίς, ἀκτῖνος), a beam, ray; Latin noun catena, chain; Greek feminine gender noun spora (σπορά), seed, and in biology a spore; New Latin feminine gender noun Actinocatenispora, spore chain-producing ray (fungus).[2]

Species

The genus contains 3 species (including basonyms and synonyms), namely[2]

Phylogeny

The currently accepted taxonomy is based on the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature (LPSN) [6] and National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)[7] and the phylogeny is based on 16S rRNA-based LTP release 106 by The All-Species Living Tree Project [8]
